ERAI Membership Options & Criteria
There are three ERAI membership types:
Members: Members consist of distributors, either franchised or independent.
Affiliates:
Affiliates consist of Original Equipment Manufacturers, Original Component Manufacturers, Contract Manufacturers or Test Laboratories.
Participants:
Participants consist of government agencies, associations servicing the industry or distributors who do not quality for Member status (i.e. distributors that have been in business for less than one year).
Membership Requirements:
1. Must submit a completed Membership Application. 2. Provide documentation to substantiate the business has been in operation for a minimum of 1 year. (Requirement applicable to New Members only.) Companies in business for less than one year may utilize the services offered by ERAI via the Participant membership type but may not use the ERAI Member Tag until such time that the applicant can provide proof their business meets all applicable membership requirements. 3. Provide a minimum of 7 verifiable trade references. 4. Provide updated bank and trade details upon request. 5. Must not have an unresolved complaint with ERAI. 6. Notify ERAI of all business name changes, affiliations and changes of address. 7. Members are asked to keep their ERAI profile up-to-date. 8. Members agree and understand that it is unacceptable to sell counterfeit material. You must be willing to cooperate with ERAI during an investigation into the sale of counterfeit product from your organization. If you fail to cooperate with our investigation, your membership may be revoked. 9. Members understand the importance of conducting a visual inspection of material purchased and sold from the open market and material that is returned from a customer. We recommend that members minimally incorporate the standards listed in the ERAI Top Ten Inspection Report. 10. Members are encouraged to add known counterfeit and nonconforming goods to the ERAI High Risk Parts Database. 11. Members are encouraged to reference the ERAI Reported Company and High Risk Parts Databases prior to purchasing or selling material in an effort to alleviate financial losses and fraud.
ERAI membership is available at the discretion of ERAI. If your company has unresolved complaints, ERAI reserves the right to restrict, deny or terminate your membership and website access without advance notice and refund of membership dues. Members must agree to an ERAI code of conduct that, if violated, may result in immediate membership revocation without a refund. ERAI also reserves the right to review your membership application and deny services based on a poor industry record in the electronics community. ERAI Members, Affiliates and Participants understand that information provided by ERAI is the property of ERAI, Inc. and may not be shared, disseminated or published without our expressed written authorization. | |
