California Business Owner Sentenced to 30 Months in Prison For Conspiring to Sell Counterfeit Microelectronics to the U.S. Military

WASHINGTON -- Mustafa Abdul Aljaff, 32, a business owner from Newport Coast, California, was sentenced today to 30 months in prison for conspiring to sell counterfeit integrated circuits to the United States military, defense contractors, and others. Aljaff pled guilty in January 2010 to federal charges of conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit goods and to defraud the United States, and trafficking in counterfeit goods. He was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan, who described the crime as "diabolical".
